Knuts rökstuga, Grannäs
 

Four hundred years ago, brothers Matti and Nuutti (Canute) built a farm on this site. Their family name was probably Pekkainen, emanating from Pekkala farm, in Rouvesi, Finland. During recent archaeological excavations, this key was the very first find - perhaps Nuutti’s way of saying, welcome to the family settlement! Visit the excavations on:
